The Canal Place Cinema is located on the third floor of the upscale Canal Place Shopping Center at Canal Street on the edge of New Orleans' world-famous French Quarter. It is a just a stone's throw from the Mississippi River, The Aquarium of the Americas, hundreds of America's finest shops and restaurants and Harrah's Casino.

The Canal Place Cinema is New Orleans' downtown home for independent film and foreign language cinema, and has been host to the New Orleans Film and Video Society's annual film festival since 1988. It is an excellent option for locals and tourists alike who want to get out of the rain (or sun) and enjoy quality films from the world's top filmmakers.
